About Me

I am a pediatric neuropsychologist and have been practicing for almost 15 years. My practice is devoted to conducting neuropsychological evaluations including cognitive, educational, developmental and social-emotional assessments. I have served on the boards and advisories of numerous schools and organizations addressing the needs of our children and advocating for their special education rights. Outside of my private practice, I am on the Medical Staff at Stanford Children’s Health. I also hold the appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor (Affiliated) at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

I see children, adolescents and college students with a variety of developmental and learning issues, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disabilities (e.g. Dyslexia, non-verbal learning disability, etc.), Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as social-emotional and behavioral difficulties. I also work with highly gifted children.

My evaluations are highly-individualized and comprehensive. The process includes obtaining data from a wide range of empirically-based and scientifically rigorous assessment tools and methods. This data is integrated with information gained from child’s history, input from parents, teachers and other treatment providers, and critical observations gathered from school visits and direct interaction with the child. As a part of this process, I conduct school visits and home observations when appropriate.

This kind of comprehensive process enables me to design a personalized education and treatment plan that addresses the specific referral questions and prepares a roadmap to the child's success. Additionally, parents can engage me to attend IEP meetings to discuss my findings with the child’s educational team.

Outside my clinical work, I am an avid hiker and backpacker. Traveling and exploring local landscapes have always been a big part of my life. This has also led to my interest in landscape photography. I am very passionate about both my creative and clinical work. The children I see in my practice are my biggest inspiration. They are constantly inspiring me to learn and see the world around me with curiosity.

My postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology was completed at the Children’s Evaluation Center and Neurodevelopmental Clinic in Northshore Children’s Hospital where I remained on staff for several years. Prior to completing my two year neuropsychology fellowship, I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Tewksbury Hospital. I also spent 2 years of my training as a pre-doc intern at the Behavioral Neurology Unit in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital.
